Account data

When you create a Librora account we store your email address, a hashed password, and your subscription/plan status. This is used only to authenticate you and operate the service.

Library content

Pages you save are fetched and processed (extracted text, AI-generated tags/summary, and a search embedding) so they can be stored in your personal library and searched later. This content is private to your account by default.

Library Clipper extension

The extension only acts when you click its icon. At that point it reads the current tab's URL, page title, and any note you type, and sends them to the Librora API to save that page to your library. It stores a short-lived access token (linked to your signed-in Librora account) in the browser's session storage so it doesn't ask you to sign in again on every click. The extension does not read page content in the background, does not track your browsing history, and does not send data to anyone other than the Librora API.

Why the extension asks for these permissions

• storage — to keep your sign-in session so Save works without logging in every time.
• activeTab — to read the URL/title of the tab you click Save on, and only that tab.
• notifications — to show a confirmation when a save succeeds or fails.
• alarms — to refresh your session token before it expires.

Third-party processors

We use Supabase (database hosting), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (billing for Premium), and Qdrant (search index) to operate Librora. None of these receive your Librora password. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Data retention & deletion

Deleting your account schedules permanent removal of your library and account data after a short grace period, in case the deletion was accidental.
